        Shanghai Alcohol Research Center is a newly established collaborative and multidisciplinary research unit at the Institution for Nutritional Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences located in Shanghai, China.

Center for Clinical Nutritional Research
        The center for clinical nutritional research is a strategic partnership of the Institute of Nutritional Sciences of the Shanghai Institute of Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Rui-jin Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Second Medicine University. Taking advantage of both the basic research of the Institute of Nutrition Sciences and the clinical research of Shanghai Second Medical University, we aim at the most important needs of the domain of national nutrition and health; focus on the diseases caused by imbalance of nutrition such as diabetes, obesity, hypertension, cancer, high blood lipids and atherosclerosis; study the pathological mechanism of these diseases at the level of molecular, cellular and clinical aspects. The combination of basic research and clinical application can be transformed into commercial products such as vaccine, herbal medicine, health products to push the nutritional market move forward. This strategic partnership will best utilize basic research results and clinical resources to explore novel therapeutics and prevention for nutrition-related diseases.
